Uruguay: Antel, a government-owned operator is aiming to invest $ 147 Million in Upgrading and deploying Fiber optic Networks around the country.
According to Local News outlet La Diaria, the operator’s president outlined plans to upgrade All of its copper connections to Fiber optic before the end of 2022. This is good news for consumers as Fiber Network Broadband is Both really fast and much more reliable. And Fiber also has a very large bandwidth which means operators can now give both High Capped Plans or even unlimited plans at much more affordable rates.
