US: T-Mobile to phase out Sprint 4G Network by 30 June 2022. This was confirmed by Both Light Reading and Verge. T-Mobile previously also disclosed that it will phase out Sprint’s 3G CDMA Network by 1st January 2022. Which caused some controversy following Dish Network’s request to Maintain the Network for some months as Dish Network some of the users still rely on Sprint’s Network. Sprint Mobile Merged with T-Mobile last year. While Sprint’s former Prepaid business Boost Mobile was acquired by Dish Network. This has caused a lot of issues for Both T-Mobile and Dish Network as still some of the Boost Mobile customers rely on Sprint Network.

According to T-Mobile a Third of Sprint Customers have already been moved to T-Mobile Network. The company expects to migrate the remaining users by Mid 2022. The main issue for Migrating users is the difference in Network Bands and support. Therefore Some Smartphones from Sprint may not work completely on T-Mobile Network. While other only work partially and support for voLte is also limited which all will give a Bad Experience to the End Users. T-Mobile is trying to Give Huge Discounts for 4G and 5G Smartphones and other offers for these Users in order to migrate to its own Network and shut down Sprint’s Network.
